I built a free flight one sometime in the last century and I even made it fly a couple of times. I remember, it was very tricky to get a good launch since you can't hold it on its c of g. Sorry, no pix I'm afraid.

It's the .40 sized one, and using a Thunder Tiger GP42 as I have loads of them spare! Actually the engine is in the picture, on the plan...
