All,

A number of you are planning on fitting drop tanks to your models. To this end, Gordon is currently drawing up a generic drop tank that is in the region of 380mm long and 60mm diameter.

When finished, this drawing will be made available in pdf format, on this thread, for fitting to your own pylons.

Is this something that any of you would be interested in?

Martin.

The drawing will show a generic pylon up to the bottom wing skin. You will need to add to the top of that to fit your release mechanism.

As to a sidewinder drawing, that is available here:

I too would be very interested in a PDF copy so as to build some external fuel tanks. Currently looking at the options of constructing the release system.

Hi Anthony - sorry but I only have a 3D model of the tank. Maybe Chris can supply some profiles from his sliced version?

Drop tank version 1 drawing completed - just needs converting to pdf and the size checking as TurboCAD seems to reduce the pdf in size!

Also 1:10 scale Sidewinder missile drawing completed. Same conversion to be completed!

Not much longer to wait!!
