Thanks Danny,

I have admired the detail you go to with your projects, I hope I don't get too carried away with this one, these maybe famous last words

I will have to order the cowl & canopy soon.

Regards Ray

Hi all,

The fuselage top planked, I will need to build the tailplane now so the elevator, tail wheel linkages can be installed in situ before the bottom planking is finished off. Great building weather lately & received my operators number from the bmfa 😀 so I can carry on doing what I've been doing for 50 years 😉

Hi All,

For anybody new to the Brian Taylor tailplane building method of 2 separate halves built flat on the building board, this is the first half of the " vibrator's" tailplane, which was the Valiant's Nick name from those who flew them 😀

Hi All,

Today's thrilling installment 1/16" sheeting to the first half of the tailplane, found a great colour scheme at the Robins AFB museum, glossy blue fuselage & yellow wings 😀

Hi All,

We now have the two tailplane halves glued together with provision for Kavan nylon hinges for speed of building in mind, I want to practice landings with a fixed u/cart model before I fly the bigger BT 93" Harvard which is 75% built.

Hi All,

The elevators on my previous BT models have been built up from a 1/16" balsa core, but as this was one of Brian's earlier designs they are 2 lamination of 3/8" very soft balsa with recess's for the Kavan hinges and wire joiner, will get busy tomorrow with the David plane 😀

Regards Ray
