The French were very lucky not to have a penalty try awarded against them but after that Welsh tactics were not good enough. This is a very good French team as England found. It will be up to Ireland to stop a French grand slam.

France dun us. They dun Wales much the same. I note, when under pressure, don't buckle. Irleland, your turn.

Good game.

Did you watch the game when Storm Ciara was blowing? The kickers kept kicking even though the ball kept getting blown back towards them. Bright or what?

Don't get me started. I have not had a great weekend, and I am awaiting this game with a mixture of hope and dread,

Pity you can't sort out brain cell like rooting compound, stick the head in, swish, and cunning takes root.

What happened to Ireland? OTOH, you can only play as well as your opponent allows and England put in their best performance since beating the ABs at the WC Semi.

Hope Ireland put right what went wrong and put one over the French!

Ireland all at sea in their own dead ball...don't let it bounce, two tries down.

England dominant in all areas, Sexton off his game, no way back for the green.

Being picky.

But, tail end, second half, 2 assaults on the Ireland 22. Two failed assaults. Both looking like a team in a hurry to do the business.

And having given Ireland hope, failed to secure a bonus point in the second half. Missed point.

Ireland all at sea but England did outclass them Having said that, Itoje and Farrell should both have been given a yellow card.

Great aggressive defending, love it, yellow card ? how about the tackle on May, late, no attempt to use the arms, and a try denier, Red card.

Holding players in at rucks is aggressive defending? Don't think so. Hence the penalty against Farrell. I think the Itoji offence was missed by the officials. God knows how because he was holding 2 Irish players back. True, the tackle on May might have been considered differently.

All in all, England did deserve to win, probably by a bigger margin.

Turnovers won and breakdown work overall is great defending so yes, all Rugby players sail close to the wind not just English. One of the Worlds greats AWJ was almost laid on the rucks grabbing shirts. VAR is destroying football, leave em be and let them play.

I just wish I had the leg power to pull and shake Farrel as though he was a training weight. And, if I were Farrell, having got 4 or 5 wacks from this Goliath, I would let go. Unless worried that you don't want to be under that boot.

Bizarre.

If the Irish player had used a fist it might have been a different result. Still, I bet those open hand slaps were plenty hard enough. I agree with the ref on that one.

Worry not, fly boy3, all the best people are. As are MOST of the best players!

We seem to have Head Coaches appointed by the WRU in preference to ex Welsh Greats, who seem to be in it to see how many inferior players they can get in the Welsh side, & how many of the good players they can play out of position!

OK, the old enemy this afternoon and Twickers a tough place to visit for Wales.

Not sure it's wise to field players coming back from injuries, that have no game time.

Come on boyos

I've had a pretty rough couple of weeks on balance, topped off by a water leak, and my plumber still working in Bordeaux, earning a fortune, plumbing for the Parisians moving in, house prices and a new TGV line, so had to do it myself. Consequence, am stiff and sore, in pain from a pulled a muscle in my neck, and am foul of temper, and my resolution to be nice to all mankind, and in particular rugby fans, is wobbling.

So, a slink back over the Severn Bridge from the Lost Lands might be most welcome. And I want that bonus point.

Have a nice day Ron. How did it go on 5S?
