![]() 490 forum posts 103 photos | Well I enjoyed looking at the Scale gliding video. Made me really quite nostalgic for the days when JR was a big player in R/C. Anyone else notice how many times the JR or Horizon logo is featured in the video? Also amazing g to hear that back then Horizon paid to ship contestants' large scale gliders to a model meeting so they didn't have to transport them across the US themselves. Imagine anyone doing that today. Anyway, thanks for the link. Off now to install some servos in my 1/4 scale Tiger Moth build. (Traplet/Hudson model) |

Just seen this from radiocarbonart have released a coulple of free videos/podcasts of slope soring series to relieve virus lockdown boredom see this link **LINK** Excellent video and so refreshing to not have to endure the usual 'big boys playing with their toys' type drivel that is the normal format when modelling is given media coverage. Pity it won't get a wider audience. |

![]() 2059 forum posts 187 photos | I consider myself very lucky. I don't like sports, TV, or constant socialising (apart from flying). Yes I am affected by the current situation, but my phone and computer are still working so I am in contact with people and I only travel to the supermarket every 2-3 weeks (which could be fun as it is this week !). Because I live out in the country I am generally well organised, particularly at this time of year and well stocked up (on balsa and glue)(as well as toilet rolls). I have several projects of different natures on the go and many more in mind to start. My sympathies go out to those less fortunate than myself, who are having great difficulty adjusting to this situation. We all get bored occasionally, but this enforced boredom is, for most the worst kind. I can only hope there is a positive outcome in that people will renew old interests, or perhaps learn new skills (both practical and academic) rather than sit and wait to be entertained by others. That is where boredom starts. Bored, me ? No, but sometimes I do run out of enthusiasm ! |

The house now has the sweet heady aroma of WD40 I think lockdown is the wrong term for this.....it’s quarantine. I except that a few journalists struggle with difficult words of more than 2 syllables |
