I fitted a 16x8 APC prop and during that flight I pulled a max of 47 amps when I climbed from 50m to 150m in 10 secs using just over 3/4 throttle producing 1750 w. The flight lasted 7 minutes and I had 50% left in the batteries.

When I climbed for a stall turn it felt like it would just keep going, so next time I'm going to give it full throttle!

Thanks for your compliments guys!

@Gary - it looks even better in the 'flesh' and would have looked better still had it not been raining today up at the field. But I have to say, I was chuffed to bits with it, bearing in mind that was my first 'proper' flying session since the 19th March, it went really well.

Very nice . A great model! The tail skid certainly makes a noise , but the recording volume was quite high I guess as the rain Could be heard ( or what sounded like rain). It certainly flies well and looks the part.

Thanks Tim and yes, it was the rain you can hear! I was determined to get the maiden flight done, and due to the rain I was only able to get 1 1/2 flights in but as it was the first in over 3 months I wasn't complaining.

Yes Nigel, a bit of oak and I cut half a dozen for future use, although I'll probably forget where I put them.
