Hello,

I thought I would stick up some photos of my build of the Tony Nijhuis design F4 Corsair. This was a free plan back in 2006. It takes me that long to get around to things these days.

I started it a year or so ago but am making good progress with it as a furlough project between the inevitable house improvements.

Power is the light power option on the plans. I chose this as I have only flown powered trainers before. Most of my RC flying is slope soaring. I may upgrade later.

It's a bit of an after the event blog, but I still have lots of time consuming items to do like installing the servos & control linkages + finalising the painting. I intend to do it in Fleet Air Arm camouflage colours (Olive Drab & Medium Sea Gray).

This is the first model I have done using 3d printed parts. I still need to tweak the design of the canopy. The engine mount and cowling are in PETG for strength & ease of printing, though I may reprint using ABS as it is 20% lighter.
