Could do with stocking up my deleted set of small self tapping wood screws in the region of M1 x 5.

Has anybody found a company offering a pre-selection of screws in varying sizes?

Modelfixings. It will not be a preselection but you can choose all the sizes that you want in various sizes of packaging.

Which reminds me,I am running very low on my range of sizes.

Give Modelfixings the business, I go to them by default without even looking around, good quality products, great service, UK based and well deserves to stay in business, you may find cheaper if you shop around but unless you truly are screwed to the floorboards financially I think we need to change that mindset.

If there's such a thing as "Thirding" a statement - that's what I'm doing.

Also their catalogue can be downloaded and saved, it means you can shop as you would at your LMS and add one or two additional items "While I'm here". They're quick too.

Ian Shaw does say on his site that if it's not listed, ask. It does work. I needed a particularly obscure component and one of his wholesalers stocked it, so job done. As has been written on this forum before, one of the bedrock suppliers to modellers who deserves our support; a really good reason to see if he has it before supporting the PRC by buying from well-known international auction sites.

Well to be fare I did look on the MF site before posting this query. Could not immediately see M1x5 but having scrolled down the page today note there is a button head panel screw in a gauge 0 close to my required dimensions.

I’d like to add my support for Modelfixings too. I’ve used them quite a bit recently and the service is excellent. Great range of goodies - I’ve ended up buying things I didn’t know I needed - and really fast delivery. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
