Some of you may know of him as a former member of this forum so this is for those that do and are interested.

Phil has had ill health for the past 20yrs, unfortunately it appears that he is about to lose his battle.

I will post to update of any changes.

I, met Phill a couple of times at Fly-ins organised through the other forum, a nice guy but sadly not able to join in fully due to long standing illness. Sad to hear.

Phil has been struggling with ill health for the last 20yrs, multiple heart attacks and spinal problems.

The bad news is he was sent home from Hospital about a month ago after being told his prognosis wasn't good (ie "we're sending you home to die" He was rushed to hospital on Wednesday and his sons were called a day or so ago to be told he has about 48hrs. His 3 sons are holding a bedside vigil and I'd like all who knew Phil to spare a thought for him in these last moments.

I'll keep you posted.sad

Thoughts are with him and his family.

I remember him well on this forum. Is he the same Phil W active on Aeromodeller forum?

I remember Phil as a friendly and helpful type from this site and the Aeromodellers site in earlier days. My thoughts are with him and his family.

RIP Poly.

A decent, down to earth fella with no pretence and an overwhelming sense of justice and fairness, genuine guys like that are few and far between.

He will be missed.
