1/ I have a Spectrum DX5e T/x which I want to use as a buddy box (slave) to my Spectrum DX6i, also as a transmitter for my Multiplex Minimag, which will have a AR500 receiver installed.
2/My Spectrum DX6i will be used mainly on my Graupner Trainer which will have a AR6200 receive.
3/ I would like to be able to use my DX6i t/x for both models.

I will, quite soon, be binding these receivers (my first attempt at binding)the DX6i to both receivers and the Dx5e only to the AR500.

Can this be done or am I heading for trouble ?? Eric.

ANY Spektrum receiver - including older first generation DSM1 models such as the AR5000 can be used with the DX6i or the DX5e.#
There is no reason why you cannot use the DX5e as slave to the DX6i as expalined by Jonathan over HERE
You can bind as many Rxs, of any type, as you like to the Tx - but you cannot bind a Rx to 2 or more Tx at the same time. To accomplish changing a particular from one Tx to another, I mounted a remote simple "push to make" switch on my model, and use this to engage bind mode externally and bind to the relevant tx as I require. ( My DX7 or wifeys DX6i )

Timbo,I'm afraid I panicked when I saw the "NO" in your answer and only after sending the reply did I realise what you had really implied !!    Sorry for wasting your time but I must say you are a godsend to us newbies!!!   Thanks Eric.

Eric, no problem binding the Rx's to the DX6i, just make sure you have it on the model memory you want to use when you bind it.

As Timbo noted you can't however bind a Rx simultaneously to your Dx6i and Dx5e, it will only bind to one Tx at a time.

If you plan to use the Dx5e as the buddy to the Dx6i then the Rx will need to be bound to the Dx6i.
