1.   Mode 2
2.   Central southern
3.   North-east - Grimsby
4.  Mostly self taught with occasional hints, but was ground crew in RAF, so it was natural that primary controls were both on one stick. Graduated from single-channel to 1+1 then to a Gem4!

Can i just say as part of the "Under 40 years old " bunch i grew up with Playstations and early computers etc where the throttle was generally on the right...hence i fly mode 1. Just feels right to me. I raced cars back in the 80s and i think they were mode 2 but then computers came along and the rest as they say is history.

I know this is not for comments But if you've flown the real thing then mode two is your thing . Joystick / rudder pedals /throttle with your available hand  ? Seems to me there is this factor to bear in mind possibly .

Just a slight diversion here, what is mode 4, or mode 3, if there is one? And did anybody ever fly with the 'cuddle-box' type transmitter,I think Idris Francs's 'Flight-Link' radio was of this type...................Mal.

 Mode 3 & 4 are left handed (mirror image) mode 1 & 2
