 Hi Gaz,
It may depend on the rating of your esc and how hard, or near the limit you are going to drive it, if you're pushing it, then you want all the cooling you can get so i'd try to get some air flow around, if you have lots of spare capacity and aren't going to push it, then it's probably ok in the fuse.

 Good point Tim,
I'd sort of assumed he meant two. I have never tried to run two motors from a suitably sized single esc. Should work in theory, though the harmonics generated by two psudo 3phase sources may cause problems and possibly heat generation where its not required.

Yes I have 2 x 25 amp esc o when i get the watt meter reading will this be for example the reading says 20amps. Will that be per esc or in totla for the 2. i will be using a y lead with one of the leads disconnected for the BEC .

In most if not all cases, two motors from one ESC ( brushless ) will not work. The ESC relies on return information back form the motor regarding armature position etc to ensure the next "pulse" of power is delivered at exactly the right time - and  receiving this info back from two minutely different motors will confuse it.

Total, because your meter will be in the battery line before both ESCs.

So Gaz, did you decide where you are going to place them?
Your max load appears to be well with the capacity of the esc, so I guess they would be ok in the fuse. If it was me, i'd want to get them some airflow, but then again, my ambient here in AD is on the upper limit.

Sorry to confue the example was just that. i have not set up the motors etc as yet as the location of the esc i wanted to get right before set up. i have seen them in the nacelles but other say about spiking??? if the distance between the esc and the battery is too long . It is a  twinstar so it should be okay i think and will go with the nacelles to ensure good are flow. Fingers crossed.

Will update when it is complete.

The cable lengths involved from nacelles to battery location ( in the twinstar at least ) should be fine.

Thanks again for solving my dilemas and problems.

I can now continue with a degree of confidence.

Thanks again
Gaz
