Trev,
The Traplet opposition have one :-

Balsa USA also do a 1/4 scale DVIII & plans are available
from the USA.

There's also a DVIII in the My Hobby Store X list but not sure
of it's scale.

For anyone who wants a smaller D8 there is a 57inch span D8 kit or plan only avail from Ben Buckle Vintage. This is the 1/6 scale design by Earl Stahl.
I think this is the one being electrified by Nigel Hawes.

Old thread I know but how did you make out? I built the old Ben Buckle Fokker DVIII about 30 years ago. Still have it and fly it and it's a peach. I just bought the David Johnson 1/4 scale plans from Model Airplane News. It was featured as a build in 2005 and reportedly flies like a trainer. We'll see...

I have the 1/4 scale plan code no: RSQ1669B. It was designed by Mike Hawkins but I have never got round to building it.

Should still be available through My Hobby Store.

I have a 1/4 scale DVIII and it definatly does not fly like a trainer.

Also have an assortment of plans in many scales.
