Hey, maybe a Sea Fury then who knows? Or will Barry, the world's No.1 Westland Whirlwind fan finally get his way?

Would an EDF model be on the cards?

Sea Fury? Yes, its nice, but how spoilt for choice do you have to be if you want a Sea Fury? ARTFs, Foamies, Plans, Kits......

Hoping we see something really unusual this time, previous winners have been a bit obvious.

Don't think Tony is all that into EDF, would be interesting to see a civil aircraft from him

We've never had a biplane I think.

He says, having just nominated three biplanes!

PS Does 3 biplanes really count as six votes

The list is growing already soon it will be a list of every plane ever made. How does Tony go about picking one?

Favourites have emerged in previous years Phil - Typhoon, Hurricane, Lysander in 2007, 2008 and 2009. We didn't have a vote earlier this year as Tony wanted to do the Spit'.

I have always loved the whirlwind but i don't want a small electric version one for 2 x48 fourstrokes would be nice and if there are any revolutionist people out there who wish to electr*cfy it then at that size they should be able to at a reasonable cost

I'm going to have a good think about this because I want to nominate aircraft that are NOT a single engined WW2 fighter that has been modled umpteen times before and can be bought as a kit or ARTF or RCM&E plans or whatever.

Although, being a grumpy recidivist, I do wonder if there is actually any point because I would put money down to say that the most voted for aircraft this time around will be...

... a single engined WW2 fighter that has been modeled before in umpteen different ways. However, if this does happen, then I do predict an axis aircraft.

Prove me wrong people, and I will gladly eat humble pie. I just want to see people voting for something outside of the WW2 warbird comfort zone.

I would be exciting to see. I am willing to give it a try but i would need to be made  very clear on the rules as most people have voted for 3 models and some may vote more than once. will every vote count the same or is it your first choice only to be counted

I can see it could get a little tricky but clear up the details and I will see what I can do.

Ok how about a airliner, say a classic DC-4, Viscount, 727, 747-100, possibly a Catalina, Lockheed L-1049? LHF is right about single engined warbirds; times did move on after WW1 and WW2

Three nominations does seem to be the popular choice Phil. If I were (but I'm not!) doing this I think I would take the first three nominations each person gave. If you only take the first you are bound to have folks saying "Oh can I change the order of my nominations" etc. Also, you might have a choice which is number two on a lot of folks lists - but it would get no votes! Which seems a bit odd.

I think Tony should propose all planes he would like to build and would be willing to do. After that everyone would choose 3 planes and the winner plane would be built. It all would be much easier and Tony would build a plane that really like.

For me it has to be:

VC 10,  Hunter T7,  1A-58 Pucara,   not necessarily in that order?
