Well... I sort of was interested in attending this event, but when I re-read the brief... ?10 for visiting pilots? Really? In what way is that encouraging for the PSSA to visit?

Just to put it into perspective - how much do we pay the Lleyn MAC? And they must have to grease a LOT of palms for all that slope access, right? Well, we don't pay them a dime, so why this outrageous charge?

Count me out.

I remember reading that it is something about a charge they have to pass on - we sometimes pay at PSSA events don't we? I think it is something to do with insurance but I could be wrong. I think I am going £10 or no £10. I paid that for one can of Tamiya Rattle can sand yellow for my Hurricane and it took 3 cans!

Yes Phil once charged ?3 to cover the anniversary pin badges. I wonder what we get for a tenner? Fried breakfast I'd hope...

Andy it's to take the club's insurance as effectively it is the only one acceptable to the landowner.

The club has separate insurance to the BMFA? How strange! Not something I'm personally keen on encouraging, so hope the wind blows for those that go.

In A past life working in insurance, that involved a plan that gave coverage of one off 'fete insurance' that included aerial displays if needed, I'd love the see the schedule and premium coverage it seems high at 10 pounds for a person, when it costs few pence per hour per person.

A lot of BMFA member glider flyers have Country Cover. **LINK**

I wish things could be kept simple with real cost benefits to access to land and its use.

Well Andy, the best way I can describe is a bit sparse of other PSS flyers and thus a bit empty but see my story on the LMMGA site here - **LINK**

THIS WEEKENDS PSSA EVENT WILL NOW RUN SUNDAY 14th ONLY - SATURDAY EVENT CANCELLED

All,

Quick note to say we've taken the decision to put out a cancellation note for the first day of this weekends PSSA Fly-In on the Great Orme. We've been studying the forecast for some time and we are confident that Saturday will be a washout until late afternoon combined with very blustery winds.

Our event will run as planned on Sunday 14th, meet for a 10am start in the Tank Track Car park.

For anyone in Llandudno Saturday our planned evening meal is still going ahead - Johnny Doughs Pizzeria - 129 Mostyn St for 6:30pm

See you there (I'll actually be in town for lunch too if anyone wants to meet for a beer )

Phil

I've got Monday off (again), and it's looking great at the moment for the SW bowl - if any pilots are about and fancy extending your slope pleasures, I'll see you there yes

Well yes, my build has just about staggered over the finish line - or at least it will have by the end of the day. Mind you, having seen the magnificent collection you all managed to assemble at the Orme, I’m not at all sure the world is quite ready for my rendition!

My hurricane will not be ready by Sunday due to things beyond my control. I am hoping to drive up for a few hours, but depends on how a family member is tomorrow. Hopefully see you lot on the Orme Sunday, as I really need to have a flight.

Cheers

Ade

Mr Hey/Hay, I know you don't speak on these thingeys but I have your Vulcan Plan copied if you want to pick it up. I have inserted them in a folder entitled "Pleadings" from work, so if you plead enough I can give them to you - see what I did there?

I will be in town tonight at the Alexandra Hotel where they have live music apparently but not sure about blow up sheep in the Gents, as I think that is only in the Town House.

Tomorrow Martin has planned a day watching rugby in the pouring rain - not so sure myself. Llandudno Rugby Club.

Only likely if flying conditions are awful.

Looking forward to more verbal abuse from you lot this weekend? I am an Abuse Lawyer after all, so if you advise on it you should be able to take it?

Hi Pete,

The bro and I are at the Grand tonight and we can waddle over to the Alexandra after dinner at the Cottage Loaf.

Cheers

Enjoy the weekend guys. I will not be there this time as the wife has dragged me away to Cape Verde for a week in the sun.

None of it. I'd rather someone else did it!
