Well, my Pilatus is finished and ready to go.
Been waiting for the right conditions for a couple of weeks. Looks like it might get maidened this weekend, with a bit of luck.
I'm using a 3s 2200mAh lipo and 5A SBEC to power the 7 servos. All up weight is around the 5 1/2 lb mark - needing 11oz in the nose to balance it.

Looks nice does that DF - how easy /secure are the wings to attach /remove?
Also, ( Im sure you have checked) ... be sure the UBEC is happy on 3s - some standalone regs are designed for 2s input .

The SBEC is actually rated at 6 - 8 amps and 2s - 8s. It's one of these HERE.
Wing attachment is dead simple. Slide them along the 2 carbon tube wing joiners and bolt into place with a nylon wing bolt, then clip the cover into place; once done, they ain't goin' nowhere!
