stephen thanks very much for your kind words on the review, Andy allways says as long as no one complains your doing well, but i really hope for more than that and i always really hope that some of you like what i write, i try to write what make me laugh, and i am genuinely gutted to have lost the zlin, it was a model i had really high hopes for, she was just the size i like and flew so well, she was to be my main model for this year and next, still ce la vie !!! top photography by the big man btw!!

I noticed that on page 9 that the mass build 2012 has a cut off date, 1965. For those not in the know, that means models prior to 1965 or does it

Just reached page 19, so far so good. I was sorry to miss the scale comp area and sorry Mick Henderson was out of the prise line-up. However, a prize (only verbal) to A Whittaker for a nice article.

Hi FTB,

the cut off date is approximate. So anything first flown upto 1965 or there abouts. We're trying not to be too hung up about it! Its the spirit of the models of that period we are really trying to capture. So if someone came up with a definitely "vintage style" although actually fairly new design I don't think we're going to say "you can't play with us"!

Ummm, not sure what I received, it's the same picture on the cover but the magazine is no longer called RCM&E, I received a copy of "R/C Model Aeroplane" which I'm guessing is an American version of our magazine, I assume it has the same content?

PeterB noticed the extra copies for UK readers, but that's not the only xmas pressie. On page 132 it says that the December issue will be in the shops on 21st of October.

Wha! I'm only halfway through the wonderfully entertaining November issue, will I have to put the next issue away unopened until December.
Paul.
