Best of luck Phil, keep your spirits up, hopefully a speedy recovery in time for some flying.
 
My Dad had heart surgery, he asked if he could do a little modelling on a tray in his bed as he was recovering. They said yes but didn't realise it was a dope and tissue model, I think half the ward were as high as kites. The Nurses put a stop to it, but not before he had coat or two on it

Although he is not personally known to me, I do sympathies with his family an of course Phil.

I don't know Mr Wood personally, but I hope he recovers soon.
 
As another recent hospital patient, the one good thing is that you get to see all the exciting new technology they use (including in my case brand new £10,000 hospital beds). Just a shame that the two year old MRI scanner in the hospital is now in a burnt-out building
 
One one ward round, the consultant seemed quite impressed that my reading matter was the RCM&E special that arrived that week.
