Old Plans

Hi All,

Well the kids are growing up and after 10 or so years of not flying I am getting back into the hobby.

I have scoured the internet looking for a set of plans that came free with either RCM&E or RC Model world aprox 10yrs ago.

The plans where for small delta wing that used a 0.25 engine. It had a single tail and the wing was built completely flat then sheeted over.

It was described a plane that could be built from the scrap box.

When I built it all those years ago it was a great plane to fly at any time of year as it was a hand launch so ground conditions did not cause any bother.

I really hope that some one can help me find the plan again or remembers it being published and point me in the right direction.

Thanks Chris

Was it a Boddington design? Elf or something similar?

It had a dead flat wing and it wasn't a pusher.

Thanks though

The wing was near as damm it an equilateral triangle that slid into the fus when built then glued in place.

Thanks for the Blitz info but it's not that one either.

It was a very simple design. Basically it was a flying wing.

I hope someone can find it.

CM just a thought here but if it is a very simple design why do you need a plan. You could try and draw your own plan from memory it wont be that far off

Sounds like a good idea but I would not know where to start. I have never designed anything. I can follow a drawing though.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Could it be one of John Rutter's many designs? EFA Eurofighter( had small canards), Pink Piper RM June 89, Kwatz Dec 2000 Saab Gripen RM April 87
Many small plans in in Aviation Modeller Int too.

Maybe GP Ripper ( GP Zipper in Traplet catalogue MW 2754) RCMW Sept 99 by Garth Pearce

Could be Flashfire MW 2601 RCMW July 97 by Peter Button

SO it WAS an actual delta not a tailless wing? and no canard with a tractor prop? I am thinking along the lines of the Double Delta which had a twin boom arrangement and stab a la' DH Vampire but if it was a delta lacking any other flying surfaces it does narrow the field somewhat i.e Vulcan.
