Well just a little sad forum news as Tim Mackey has asked to stand down as an admin/moderator today. He's decided to step back and have a well earned rest after providing some 5 years of assistance and electric flight guidance to countless members of the forum. not forgetting his tutorials and articles.
Tim will continue to build and fly and no doubt he'll drop by now and then to let us know how he's doing - you'll probably see him on the Orme regularly too.
Tim, you've been an absolute star and I want to express my personal thanks to you as I'm sure many others will, you'll be missed.

There's more to being a good moderator than just being able to provide some balance and well-honed people skills - particularly when things get a bit out of shape. Timbo has managed that and more - he is a mine of information and has a real understanding of 'grass roots' aeromodelling as well as being our electrical 'guru'
I am just one of many who have benefited enormously from his advice and help since I joined the forum and I can only say "Thanks, Tim, a job well done" and wish him all the best - as one of us!
Pete (waiting for the next 'Buff' instalment........)

Everyone is being nice about Timbo. Surely someone must have something bad to say about him. I know, I will slag him off abit.
If I can think of something rude to say about him.
Which I can't.
I suppose that means that I will miss you Timbo.

OH!! such sad news indeed. But Tim, you have been such an inspiration to me over the past few years while on this great forum and you have helped me and many, many others in more ways than you'll ever realize. You have expressed a certain knack when it comes to explaining to a beginner the dark mysteries known to many as 'electrickery' on this forum and in many articles in RCM & E.
Tim, your help has been greatly appreciated and you will be greatly missed.
