Hi can anyone please help a newcomer to RC modelling?

I have just started assembling the Tailplane and Fin for the Tailwind. The wood supplied is a ¼” thick, and the plan reiterates this. I can see that leading edge and trailing edge of the Fin and Rudder have a radius on them but what about the Tailplane, should this be shaped. I can’t see an end elevation that shows this. I hope I’m missing something as it looks rather thick and crude in its present state. Its either me or the wood that’s to thick.

Welcome, Frazer. I'd say shape it to the same radius as the fin. I'm sure Peter Miller will be along soon to confirm this.....

By the way, thick we can cope with on this forum but I wouldn't expect crude to last very long!teeth 2

Thanks for the reply Pete. I will do what you suggest. As for crude, I should have used a different expression, such as unfinished perhaps.
