With all this rain and gales we've been having over the last few weeks I thought I'd share a couple of shots from the White Horse MC patch during sunnier times earlier this year.
The model is an FVA 10A Rheinland with a wingspan of 127" making it 1/5th scale. It was scratch built by Vic Green, better known as a locomotive modeller but no mean aeromodeller too! On the sticks was ace glider guider and Vic's chief test pilot Simon Jones.

No Photoshop involved, just a strong thermal, a calm day amd a lucky finger during a Coupe Europa contest at Middle Wallop a couple of years ago. Both models still in the climb; the propellers will fold in a few seconds.

Club member Alan Wright takes photos from his Easter Eagle Senior with a Canon compact camera. He flies together with a friend.
He has sent me a picture taken in flight which I rate as the best air to air photo that I have ever seen.

I just like the serenity of this photo, it shows my restored Cambria Eagle with Haytor Rock, Dartmoor, in the background.
