That's what I thought but I cant move it let alone pull it out. Some push fit?. Maybe heat will do it??surprise

The alloy backplate should expand more than the steel carburettor tube, so that may be a solution.

I've been playing with these old ED engines since the fifties, and I've never seen this problem, maybe someone has "misused" Loctite...

Freeze 1st then drop into boiling water
