Can anyone please suggest a good paint to use to brush on a good olive green colour onto a primed surface (There's quite a lot of it!)?

Thanks

Have you looked at KlassKote. I've brushed with it and sprayed. Very good, and fuel proof too.

I'm thinking of trying Warbirds paint for the, erm, warbird kits I've got stocked up for the winter.

Water based with a catalyzer, water clean up, no smell, available in military colours, do a search for FighterAces, I think the guy who runs it is Phil. Does fantastic work, check out some of his threads on RCMF.

For electric I'd think in terms of Humbrol enamel for matt colours as they give very good coverage, Tamaya acrylics are ok and do an olive, or the cheapest option is a trip to B&Q or similar with a colour sample and ask them to make up a sampler pot of vinyl emulsion. You might need a coat of clear to protect it though.

Thanks Andy and Bob,

I'll have a dig around and see what looks the best / most economical solution.
