I just wrote on the form “+1 helper”. With LMA shows it’s on the form about who you will bring.

I was going to bring my flying mate who will be there anyway for one day but my son, who is staying with me for quite a while, wishes to come along so I want to get him in as a `helper`.

A snip at £50k. Now which would you prefer? The full size Stampe or Pete McDiarmid's DH9?

for me the question is different. assuming I had money spare to buy a toy would I buy a sporty car or a plane? for me its a no brainer as I would gladly take the stampe. If someone was giving me one or the other with money no object, the choice between a 50k stampe and a 250k Ferrari? it would be the stampe every time...or, take the car, sell it, buy a stampe, then keep the profits

Or, a trip to the airport in your Ferrari for a jaunt in your Stampe.

Take the car, sell it. Buy the Stampe and use the rest to get a couple of PPLs..well Mrs Cymaz will want to fly it as well !

Hi All

Looking for some advice for servo for the wings of the Stampe. I have Futaba gear.

Should I try wing servos? or more standard ones? also would digital be a better option?

Cheers

Scott

Standard size with about 4 or 5 kg torque will be plenty. No need to go mad

I'm building a Stampe and putting Futaba S3010's all round. They pull 6.5 kilo on 6 volt.

Mine uses Hitec 5485HB`s all round, with one for each aileron. The inter aileron links are just dummies (1.5mm carbon rear, elastic thread on the front). Much simpler than trying to use just two and they are very good servos indeed for a reasonable price. The wings are thick enough to mount them vertically.

I can't find suitable 1/4 scale stampe pilots. Does anyone have advice on possible suppliers?

I got one made by a specialist somewhere in Wales, pretty good but I cannot remember the name. Google may help.
