And you'll post pics of the action for those of us on the west side of the pond to enjoy? Have a great event.

I recon. If anyone has an action camera we should fit them to the models. I might put one in my vacant rear cockpit

That`s a point. Can`t even remember where my Mobius ones are. If I can find them and they still hold a charge then maybe on the top wing to clear the prop. arc or on the tail.

Well if we keep talking quietly we might get away with it.

Current weather check is hot with the standard wings and wheels crosswind at 90 degrees to the runway centreline. Fortunately its not looking that strong and the sunday looks better. Either way, i hope you boys are current with your crosswind landings!

Also, for dinner i am happy to accept Martins offer of using his van as base camp. Its likely that we will all be located near eachother as they tend to group teams close together when it comes to camping. In any case i will be bringing my own burgers and whatnot and my bbq. If anyone wants some bbq grill space you are more than welcome, if not then Martin's gas powered grill is no doubt available and i was going to bring my small portable gas ring just because i can, and i was wondering if we should cook up a big pot of bbq beans on it and share it out? what is the view of the masses?

That`s fine. It is a three burner hob, not a grill though. I shall be on plot 20 sometime Fri. evening.

Crosswind landings don`t bother the Stampe so much as take offs but with a patch that wide there should be no problems (says he).

Loved my President Stampe in Penquin livery. A proper build and I am glad I bought a 120 fs for it instead of the ST 90 I had planned to use. Low passes with the motor burbling away were great.

It was great to do proper scale like take offs getting the tw off first and a gentle climb out.

Slow rolls were a treat and I loved the side slip approach with fully crossed controls.

I will add a pic when I work out how to do that.

Ha! cheers John. If my tent looks a little over inflated keep a safe distance and no naked lights!

My plan is still to set sail tomorrow morning. All my models have now had their inspections and maintenance and i have all my ducks in a row ready for charging batteries tonight. I aim to arrive around 8am tomorrow and get all my models put together. I will just look for a small flock of stampe's on the flightline and head that way.
