I went to the one last year (was working this...booo...) and have no A - I just socialised and spent time with some good forumites.

If I make it this year I probably won't have an A again - flying time is very limited and while I can probably pass, I need more stick time first!

My diary is clear...

Camping next year Ian? I'll try and persuade the wife to let me bring the motorhome...

I really enjoyed my first Greanacres this year, everyone was really friendly and helpful. I could not fly as I had no A certificate (only been flying 3 months) but have since passed so looking forward to 2013 more than ever, I just hope I can find the confidence to fly in front of so many experienced pilotsembarrassed, you must promise not to watchwink 2

Nev, this year was my first time at this sort of event and I was pretty nervous on arrival. What I did was to take along a foamy ( a Formosa) as there's a lot less stress involved if the model is a) cheap b) resiliant. That got rid of the nerves so I could relax for the rest of the day.

Definitely! Its a very good atmosphere - just like a club fly in. Go, you'll enjoy it.

As BEB says - Definately. It's very relaxed indeed. You're not made to fly, just soak up the atmosphere if that's what you feel like. Then if you do feel like having a go, just... have a go.

No Chris - not a B exam.

Although, as things will doubtless work out, there will probably be lots of folks around who are examiners in their own clubs etc. Greenacres does not generally provide examination facilities.

Would I be ok to fly models from GAD or would it be frowned upon as advetising for them?I have several own builds or other manufacturers if the case needs.

Cheers

Ady

Ady you can fly whatever you like. Bring a trade stall if you like!

Traders get free pitches, we just ask for a donation of a raffle prize.
