It is indeed a lovely thing. I was amused the seller suggests it was a nice Christmas treat, my treat was a bar of toblerone smiley

I suspect this has been previously listed at over £500, a bit much IMHO when standard 61SFs go for around £50 but then a Veron Cherokee kit went for nearly £200 last week.

Whatever the market will bear, isn't that what they say?

collector? I'd want to glue the bits together if I bought it! Same with the engine, it's not doing any good sat in a box.

So you don't think the £1,500 he's asking for the Enya 240 a bit OTT??surprisesurpriseIf IRCC the early Hannos' shead the plateing on there liners , so maybe this one is best left in a box lol ! and I think there was also a problem with the bearings giving up on high nitro ?

As for kit prices on e-bay I paid less than £100 for my Tomtit and less than £90 for a AVRO 504 N got lucky that week !!!

Hi, would have some historic value for me (made in Austria - not the engine - but VA...) but 470 is a bit much. For the same money I can order also the plane (Curare 60 ARTF) plus a brand new OS including muffler.

The problem isn't so much the price, if it was going to last then it would be worthi it, trouble is the chrome separates from the top of the liner after a whle, so a box is the best place for them. I know I've owned one.

Thats a good idea Greaybeard Terry?.

Terry - thats a name from the past. I built an Illusion back in the 80's, was that one of yours or Andy Nichols. Another name from the past. I used to fly at Wimbourne Club and remember some of you guys at centalised events.

Remember getting quite drunk on more than one occaision with Steve Alias, John Palmer, John Tapping and Mitch (Phil Mitchel)

Now theres some name dropping for you

Hello Andy. I just thought I'd take a look today after leaving my posts, see if anyone remembered the 'old days' & my 'unorthodox' appearance......emotion & they have. I was never one to conform!

The hanno is probably the best motor ever produced, in so many ways & so it should be with the man himself guiding OS with the design work!

I'm very interested in that Jupiter in the photo section; was it my very first yellow example? All balsa too!

They are indeed, names from the past. Don't know if they are still involved with model flying. How is Phil these days? I recall he went through a bad patch some years ago.

I sometimes still see John Tappin about at the shows, but I moved to the midlands some years ago and no longer fly with Wimbourne.

Last I heard Phil was OK I think working occasionally with Phil at Probuild. but I could be wrong.

There must be someone out these who remembers.

Seems we have all moved around over the years Andy. I'm over in Lincs, Near King Lynn now, looking for a new MFC. Been out of flying for a long time doing other stuff that life throws our way! Have just got into small EP, just to try it really as it looks rather more potent that it did.

I'm also looking to build a Loadedd Dice 30 EP in the near future.

ps the Illusion was Andy Nicholl's first F3A design & very good too. I think he still has his original models. I'll forward this website onto him.
