But David Boddingtons 'Scale Model Aircraft for Radio Control' is equally good and quite different but rather more advanced..

David Boddingtons Scale Model Aircraft for Radio Control, now that was expensive £3.40 inc £2.00 P&P Ebay, I bet I have read it before.

Boddo's 'Scale model Aircraft for Radio Control' is a great book......if you have bought it then you wont want to part with it! But if it's a duplicate then pass it on to a clubmate. It's out of print but still so useful.

I was hoping that the series of great articles on building planes that appeared in Model Flyer ( or was it AMI ) would be published as a book. The articles showed every possible technique & little trick and went on for several years. I dont know who wrote them but wonder if there is any chance of him making it into a book.

"Building & Flying Indoor Model Airplanes" by Ron Williams - the best aeromodelling book ever published IMHO.

"Model Aircraft Aerodynamics" by Martin Simons - great book on the fundamentals of how model aircraft fly.

"Model Aeroplane Building Sketch by Sketch" by Peter Holland is another useful guide....and as kc mentioned earlier, the in depth series that ran for years in AMI magazine.

There is a copy of Peter Hollands book for sale today on Amazon for 1 penny postage costs 2.80 but it is an excellent buy at that I reckon (last week there were 2 copies for sale but I bought one copy last week for that price! I want to encourage a relative to start model planes so got the book to lend him.

Both the Peter Holland book & Gordon Whiteheads book are full of accurate sketches showing construction methods and are excellent to refer to. Also ideal for the person who finds a picture better than words.

Radio Control Slope Soaring by the late Dave Hughes - gave me great encouragement when I was just starting out in R/C.
