Yep - I have a score to settle with a certain Mr. B... wink 2

...and looking forward hugely to the coming battle, John! A whole new bunch of cars and drivers to play with won't make the early decisions very easy and FantasyF1 are bound to throw in a few more difficulties, as they seem to do each seasonsmile o

I can only go one way too....teeth 2

OK folks! I've "reactivated" the Modelflying Forumites league, and found Chris and Iqon had already "signed-up" for it even before I got there. teeth 2

So that's three of us already - let's get the rest back in and we can look forward to the start of the season in Melbourne in just over a month from now.

Those of us who were in last year, just head over to fantasygp.com and login. Your details are kept from last year, including your team name - though you can change the name if you want. Go to "Leagues" and you can re-enter our league, and any others you were also in, with a quick click of the mouse.

Anybody else is most welcome to join too, the code you will need for the league is 8397165.

I haven't looked through the rules this year to see what has changed in the game, there's usually something given a slight tweak! Nor have I chosen my team yet, so I have a (sadly only virtual!) £75 million burning a hole in my pocket... smile d

Let's see what the upcoming test sessions reveal (or not?) about the 2019 cars.

Hi Robin - welcome back!

There's 8 of us now lined up ready for the start of the season, and plenty of room for more.

John S - I think you're mistaken... When I look it shows me in top position. smile p

And then I see the note at the top of the table, "Rankings are random until after Australia" Oh well, we can all dream...

Watching winter testing is such a tease. One day Alfa Romeo are looking good, the next day it seems like Haas or Toro Rosso might be the “good value” team option. Have pretty much ruled out McLaren, Racing Point and Williams at this point.

Ferrari seem to be the cream of the crop, but how much do Merc really have in their back pocket? It’s intriguing this year, for sure.

Hi to all,

Those winter tests look quite a bit different from last year indeed, Charles.

Ferrari does look strong, Alfa as well. Albon did surprisingly well with the Torro Rosso.

Haas doesn't look as strong as twelve months ago.

But then the main question remains: how much are Mercedes & Red Bull 'sandbagging'... ?

What surprises me is the fact that the Fantasy guys already decided of the price tags for drivers & cars even before the end of this second test week...

Cheers

Chris

I must admit I haven't been paying much attention to the winter testing. As I'm sure it's not representative of what's going to happen in Melbourne.

I could be imagining it, but I thought I saw a headline in the last day or two saying that McLaren were fastest that day. It does seem that Ferrari are going to be strong, but - as Chris says - how much are Mercedes and Red Bull sandbagging?

I must go and pick my team soon!

Same money n they've mostly gone up in price. Mines done.

McG, I think the fantasy F1 league prices are mostly influenced by last year’s finishing positions, although they’ve clearly picked up on Vettel’s potential advantage and priced that in. I wonder what odds you can get on Vettel for WDC this year, as that looks quite likely from wheee I’m sitting.
