Well done to the top teams on a good start. Nice to know some things never change, I'm bottom as usualcrying.

The only way is up. Thought I had Hamilton for second but I had him for third - my nearest prediction

Re the problem of F1 not being live on free TV.

Pete B comment about watching RTE in German and listening to BBC 5 Live is interesting and a possibility if I buy a new satellite Rx etc.

However I found that Virgin Media offer Broadband with Sky F1 + BT Sport+Eurosport, for a price only slightly ( £4 month) higher than I am paying BT for Broadband+ landline + BT Sport. Sounds the way to go until I realised I might lose the e-mail addresses I have which are all @btinternet. So has anbody switched from BT and mananged to keep receiving e-mails sent to the old BTinternet e-mail address?

KC, I switched from BT to Sky about 3 years ago and still receive the odd email addressed to my old BTinternet account. When I changed I created a new gmail account.

KC, my dad had a similar issue, he subscribed to BT Premium mail for a while (which lets you keep you address for £7.50 a month) but later moved to a Gmail because having your email independent of your ISP is always good - one less reason not to move to a better package elsewhere.

Also, oh my. I wasn't expecting my team to do that well! Certainly better than I did with the 1/10 buggy yesterday

Am I right in thinking its free unlimited changes for anybody until the second GP?

kc- I have been a btinternet customer in the past and my family have a number of btinternet email addresses that we continue to use.

In the past the email was still available after moving to another ISP. But then a few years ago they started to charge non-btinternet customers for continuing to use btinternet email. Initially it was a fairly nominal monthly charge (£1.60 springs to mind, though I'm not certain) but it has now increased to £7.50 a month. I have to pay that even though my current ISP is owned by BT...

One day I'll move us all onto other addresses, but for the moment my wife and one of my daughters use their btinternet address and no others.

Oh dear, that was a bit of a grim opening to my campaign. I placed too much faith in Ferrari it seems, so jace given my team a shake up now. Can only improve from here... (unless I drop to last I suppose,). Ho hum

OK everyone, pay attention! It's another weekend, and time for the Bahrain GP. So, the customary reminder;

Don't forget your predictions!

But what to predict?... And should we change our teams? The frist two practice sessions appear to show Ferrari in control. Maybe no surprise as the Bahrain circuit is much more like Barcelona than Melbourne was.

FP3 is tomorrow at noon followed by qualifying at 3pm UK-time. The race is at 4.10pm UK-time - and don't forget to put the clocks forward on Saturday night.

I won't spoil it for those who've yet to watch it, but I have a question about predictions. What does "Nearly" mean? Both times the prediction was one out (for the quali). Do I get a point for that?

Nearly gives you half points (5 I believe)

As Ade says, you get 5 points but only for having a near-miss on the final podium position, ie you predict a podium place but the driver finishes in one of the other two places. Nothing for coming close with a quali prediction - as I well know....teeth 2

Next up is China in 2 weeks, and I guess another early start after the rather civilised timing of today's race!

Can Ferrari get their ducks lined up in a row next time? Great shame for Charles Leclerc today. But I was amused by Nico Rosberg's comment on the Sky commentary towards the end of the race. I don't remember his exact words, but basically saying that Vettel was continuing this season the same way he'd ended the last one, by mucking everything up...
