Martin,

Do you have any clues as to which other classic aerobatic kits are coming from the Cloud.

Andy.

I’ve run this on the Indoor Scale R/C models page on FB, but it’s come out quite well so I’ve put it here for anyone that’s interested. Bristol Scout “C” all Depron 29” span built from the Flying Scale Models plan originally featured in 2005 and given as a free plan in the December 2019 edition. Designed by Mike Roach. It weighs 180 gms all in with a 2S 320 mah Lipo. First check flights very good, takes off on 1/3 throttle, flies slowly and turns well on rudder. The unusual markings are correct, 1915 RNAS.349faca8-3282-497c-bb4b-e45454e7dc61.jpeg

Thanks John. Surprisingly quick and easy to build as well as being a pretty accurate scale model. Strictly for light breezes or indoors though.

Thank you Martin. To make it a bit more realistic I scaled a photo of a Le Rhône 9C, glued it to a 1/64” ply disc and glued that to the periphery of the 2208 outrunner so that it rotates with the prop, adds a touch of realism.da28b0ca-0614-4928-ad25-687942e56696.jpeg

No John. It’s an ordinary GWS 8x4.3 Slow Fly. It was an awful orange colour so I painted it brown, it doesn’t look too bad. I notice I said the motor was a 2208 by the way, it’s not, it’s a 2203.

It's even better from the front Colin, I'm impressed.

An almost matching pair of Wot Trainers, both were crashed with nose & fuselage damage (one was mine, t'other was given to me to rebuild)

I guess that at many clubs, there'll be a queue of maidens when we reopen (Oooh Matron) img_6404.jpg

This Mirus 40 was donated to me many years ago by a friend who is no longer with us. Taking full advantage of the lockdown its the first to be prepared for flight when ever that will be.

New servos have been fitted along with a Webra 50, looking forward to blasting this around the sky.On to the next!

Stay safe

Rich - Nice clean lines and interesting decals, will it be a quick one being a Mirus 40 with a 53 in it?

Chris,

I'm expecting it to be quite quick, that said I have had advice that to get the best possible power out of the Webra for speed would require a pipe and a 9 x 9" prop. I dont have either and as I am now furloughed spending money on toys is a no go so it will stop as it is.
