Don't worry chaps - Pete B and me will bring some of our weather with us! Just make sure there is plenty of proper bacon to feed our needs!

I seem to remember that last year 2013 was about the 19th June.

I have looked for a date for this year, asked obliquely.

So now a straight question, as the diary of commitments is filling up..

Really wanted to come along this year, but SWMBO booked us a week in Italy that I haven't been able to worm out of. Will miss my club's scale day too sad

David I have just found the dates.

I must have done someything wrong on my search, as I thought I had put in Geenacres 2014, and got a not fond message.

Oh well.embarrassed

The concerns that David has also trouble me, both as it is close to daughters No. 1 birthday and some muttering about being on holiday..

I will be there for as many hours as I can on Saturday and Sunday, living nearby does make it easier! Fervently hoping for better weather, I only dared one flight in those conditions last year, hopefully I'll be a bit braver this time. I'm trying very hard to get in a bit more practice as well.

Also I look forward very much to putting a few more names to faces, it will be a pleasure to see so many like-minded friends at this event.

Sorry about the lettering error on my Hurri on P9 of the June issue if you have noticed. It was pointed out by Danny Fenton a couple of years ago. No one else has commented but it has now been corrected to read UP-W. The other side was correct but all the pics. are from starboard!

See you there.

I have a question folks, the gent I attend some shows with has an A cert, But gets a bit nervous when flying in front of a crowd. I stand with him just in case, I may even land it for him. How would you view this ?

As long as you have an A-cert John then there is no issue that I can see. If your friend likes to have a "spotter" wink 2 and the two of you split the flying that's your business I would think.

The Greenacres event is very informal. The one thing I know that they can't be informal about though is the A-cert - like my own club it is a requirement of the local council that own the land, so they have to insist that everyone who flies has an A-cert.

John - you can assure him that he won't be the only one there who gets nervous flying with others or when in a different environment!

And BMFA insurance, for exactly the same reason thumbs up. (Don't forget your proof)
