My office this time, rather than my house...

The Farewell Lynx flight on Friday afternoon passed close to my office in Croydon en route for the Isle of Dogs and then return to Yeovilton. They seemed to be running some 20 to 30 minutes behind schedule.

Heard the sound of jets low and loud at about 17:15 this evening but didn't spot anything; 5 or 10 minutes later, heard them again and spotted two Typhoons flying together directly overhead, they then went into a right hand circuit and passed overhead again about 5 minutes later. They then passed over once more, but much slower this time then turned off to the east.

Eight de Havilland biplanes flew over Dartmoor this afternoon heading West, we heard them coming and then going, they looked superb.

Here's four of them, I've no idea what was going on but it felt like we'd gone back in time?

Flying at my club yesterday (Ramsay model aero club) we had a Scottish Aviation Bulldog in RAF trainer colours pass over. Later in the day he returned going in the opposite direction quite low. Not seen one since my days at RAF Abingdon in the early 1980s.

What is flying over our house now is the French air force display team practising for there air display over the race track some 10ins from here at L'isle Jourdain, Vienne, France.

Not as good as our good old Red Arrows.

You're not near Coventry by any chance are you? Something similar landed there this afternoon.

Out over the sea by Rustington, West Sussex, on Friday were a couple of low wing monoplanes doing "dogfighting" follow my leader aerobatics for quite some time. At the distance involved they looked blue underside and desert sand above, quite ME109 plan form (but clearly not actually warbirds). Could have been Vans.

When they decided to leave in the approx direction of Goodwood angled westerly inland they came a little closer and looked to be flash patterned yellow/white uppers. Still could not identify or see detail or get reg which appeared to be displayed as per civil lists.

Tried to find them in the 2017 airshow display availability listings, no joy. Any ideas?

"Scottish Aviation Bulldog in RAF trainer colours "

I remember seeing they were sold off for around £10k when they were retired from RAF duties. I guess a few of their civvy operators kept them in their RAF colours!

A400s have been going around... and around... and around... and around... overhead here lately. I guess doing some kind of trials?

ME109E in cct

I was wondering if it was the one I saw on my tour of the Heritage Hangar at Biggin a few months back. And your link rather suggests it was!

Meanwhile, back to today, we're used to seeing the odd Chinook or two flying over here in N.E. Surrey, but I've just seen an Apache heli, heading roughly S.E. at around 1,000 to 1,500 feet.
