Interests - flying Single-Channel & Reeds, retro radio enthusiast, bespoke electronics freelancer, PIC, assembler programming, custom hardware, homebrew computers, embedded systems, legacy electronic systems & replacements, systems integration, PCBs, arduino etc, inactive radio ham (G4PHL), until recently did GP 70cc motorcycle racing, now do frequent track days on a GSXR600, a bit of guitar, a bit of field target shooting, campervan adventures, quest for the best English Breakfast etc... und Ich spreche etwas Deutsch.  Heres my website.

Clubs - Pontefract PANDAS flying at Ponty Racecourse, and Sheffield Society of Aeromodellers (SSA) flying slope soarers at Callow Bank in Derbyshire. Marsden Moors Soaring Assn, North York Moors Ridge Soaring Assn.

Models - Slope - Flair Heron, Phase-6, SAS Wildthing, several Veron Impalas on reeds & single-channel, DB Rookie, MPX Fox R/C chuckie, single-channel Pixie.  Power - Wot4 Mk2, Ripmax Spit, J60, umpteen Sharkfaces, Tomboy, Poppet, Simplex, PR Striker, Astro Hog (reeds), Flair SE5a and Pupetteer, MPX Cub & Easystar FPV. Mostly enjoy S/C models.

Work - Retired at 52 from BT as Senior Network & Security Designer, also teaching BTEC5 microprocessor & embedded systems, electronics at Sheffield Polytechnic, now helping with the family business, a busy boarding kennels and cattery.  Hoping to retire again soon to concentrate on project work.

Home: Recently widowed and struggling with life, seven dogs, four cats,  tortoises, rats, chinchillas, chipmunks, tropical fish and my two lads (grown up) live next door.
Also foster anything up to a dozen or so Alaskan Malamutes, it varies as they are rehomed.
