More about me:

Started with single channel slope soarers on Lake District fells in the 70’s with a Performance Kits Buzzard. Progressed to a Futaba Digimax 4 with RCM&E gliders Silent Knight, Algebra, Stratus (majestic!), and Hot Pants (Fast!). Advanced to power with RCM&E Skyrider, Manta and RM Déjà Vu. Built a 35MHz Micron PL-7D in 1981 but flying lapsed with pressure from work, marriage and family!

Now up and flying again, and recently enthused by joining the PSSA to participate in the 2014 Jet Provost mass build, and subsequent events.

I enjoy building from plans, but not keen on ARTFs built by someone else - where’s the ‘job satisfaction’ in that? However, with family pressures anything might happen!

When not modelling, I play the Piano Accordion and I am Musical Director of the 18-strong North Staffs Accordion Orchestra. I occasionally play for ceilidhs with a selection of gifted musical friends, including my wife Cathryn, who is a talented caller.
