More about me:

An aeromodeller in my boyhood in the 1950s, my first job was as a trainee designer with International Model Aircraft Ltd (Frog models). I returned to the sport in 1994 after a gap of 35 years while I flew the real thing in the RAF. Im a very trad builder, and prefer to build my own designs, some of which have been published. Im into sport flying of all sorts with a 50:50 emphasis on scale. I've recently sold all my IC models to make a complete switch to electric power. There are no longer any issues on power and endurance.  Electric motors and ESC's are very good value, and batteries get better all the time.  I'm a slightly better pilot than I was, but at my age I don't expect to get much  better. However, I don't break models very often so its not all bad.
