Just past my middle years (I wish!!) and have been flying RC for about 35 years (still have some Futaba M series!!) but never got any better at it. Had a break of quite a few years as I caught a bad dose of full size aviation and have been flying Robins of various type up to our current, very beautiful 200hp DR400/500. Also build live steam (71/4 gauge narrow gauge) locomotives and have come back to RC aircraft over the past 4 or 5 years mainly due to the remarkable progress of electric flight. Noticed a huge change in the hobby since Ive been away with the, almost universal, take over of ARTF models, most of which seem to be quite amazing value, but not quite so keen on the preponderance of "toys" that fill up so much space in the 3 RC magazines these days. Tend towards general aviation type with particular affection for J3 Cubs and am working up to trying flight off water. Am in the process of designing a Lake Renegade of about 80inch span for electric power, also for the water fetish. Quite fancy a helicopter, too, in the near future. Apart from the above, fairly normal and respectable - married, grown up children etc etc
