This new Cub from Hangar 9 is big, no I mean really BIG. The box is big, the fuselage cavernous, the wings massive...you get the picture.
We've only seen the model in the box and hope to have a full review in the magazine in the not too distant future (we're going to have a 26cc petrol engine in the model by the way).
At first inspection the quality seems to be 'there' and the size of the model dictates that some very nice scale touches such as operating scale side doors, a full instrument panel with a Piper logo in the tachometer and a full body pilot figure are included.
The landing gear has a bungee suspension and there's even a scale simulated tubular construction to the top fuselage, all very nice.
It's an impressive model at first inspection and one that that will repay some time spent adding some extra detail - we just can't wait to fly her.
