Strengths:
Irvine 36 with a 9x8 @ around 14500 ground revs ~ 120 mph in the air. Once you have overcome the fear, flying the Outlaw lets you break all the rules. You can fly at full speed over the field and whack it into a flat spin - going horizontal. It breaks from 120 to nearly nothing in about 2 meters and is thought to be subjected to over 40g.
Weaknesses:
You don't have a model like this to potter around with and continuous full throttle trashes engines. I have destroyed the Irvine and moved on to a Super Tigre 34, which is okay but not quite as quick. You really need to pay attention when flying this - too much exposure gives you the shakes; a number of times its been on the limit of vision and I've been lucky to turn it the right way. It rolls out of outside loops and flips violently, so don't attempt these too low - something to do with the reflex wing section.
Overall:
The "weaknesses" are actually good things. Keep an open mind that first flight and forget what you have learned about aerobatic models and flying. I never had any probs with the balance - the model assembled quickly and easily, but use good servos. What a great hoot.

Strengths:
Very quick build, high quality components supplied, does not need a high performance engine (I use a cheap ASP . 32 and no tuned pipe) Impossible not to have a smile on your face after flying it. Lands at a very slow as it has a very good glide angle, can be flown as a normal delta (high speed pass) or thrown around the sky like a leaf and it will recover from any position. .
Weaknesses:
Difficult to achieve the correct C of G without adding lead to the tail, the exhaust postion , makes it impossible not to get sprayed with oil while launching it (letting go of it), my tip is to get someone else to hold it for you. . . .
Overall:
A delta that can be thrown around like a 3D model but it still capable of high speed flight or if your reactions and nerve can take it both at once. . . .
