Strengths:
Small enough to keep in the car / van.
Spare battery is about £5 and by the time you've finished flying on one battery, the other has been fast charged. . .
Weaknesses:
Outside flight only on very calm days.
The TX and RX range does vary from one model to the next. As the TX only uses 4 AA cells these need to be "dry" 1. 5v cells as rechargables will really limit the range.
Overall:
Very forgiving and very relaxing to fly. It is so light that on a summers day it will float on any thermals, I've cut the throttle and glided for very long periods.
You can fit the E-flite 1 cell 110mAh battery for very long flight times, just need slight modification of charger to fit the battery in. .
