New ultra micros from Parkzone and E-flite

Two new ultra micro models from E-flite and Parkzone are about to arrive in the UK – An Sbach 342 3D and this Mk.9 Spitfire.

First up, Parkzone's long awaited ultra micro Spitfire. The pretty 16" span machine reveals a number of scale touches not least that four-blade prop.

The release adopts the brand's usual approach to models of this size so it's supplied with a charger and single-cell 25C 150mAh Li-Po battery that lives under a magnetically retained hatch below the motor.

Importantly it's equipped with the AS3X auto-stabilisation system, the first single-cell prop-driven machine from any of the Horizon brands to benefit from the technology.

E-flite's 17" span Sbach 342 3D is an AS3X equipped version of the brand's existing ultra micro aerobat that was released last year (review link below). In the process the model now gains a 3D designation.

Although It's physically unchanged, the new contrasting scheme seems prettier and, again, it uses a 2S 180mAh Li-Po. It'll be available in BNF Basic form without a charger and battery for £94.99.
