The Sept 2007 edition of RCM&E is out now and it’s crammed full of columns, features and reviews from all your favourite contributors. This month’s reviews include:

  • Hangar 9 Spitfire – impressive i.c. scale
  • Multiplex Funjet – fast (very) electric foamie jet
  • Balancer chargers – the new breed of chargers?
  • PalmZ – it’s not a ‘toy’ ok!! – indoor fun with the new Silverlit model
  • Fast Bak – slope racer or slack hack?
  • Seagull Extra 300 EP – an affordable electric aerobat

Features include, ‘Piping a Good Tune’ where Andy Ellison explains the mysteries of tuned pipes. Douglas A4 Sykhawk – The new EDF jet from Cyril Carr is a plan feature. We gather all the little pilots we can so you can see who’s going to fly your next plane and in our great competition we’ve a SebArt Katana and power package to give away.

In ‘Turbine Taster’ Trevor Walters builds the Wren 54 and in ‘For Starters part 9’ Andy Ellsion has specific ‘flying’ advice for those taking their ‘A’ test. There’s lots more including wirebending advice, a design for an EDF foor-trip switch and the mysteries of two-stroke ‘clatter’ are explained.

This month’s free plan, the curiously named ‘Triple Threat II’ is a new Chris Read design based on the original by Renaud McCoy. It’s a lovely electric powered, vintage style, 66″ span glider – just right for some relaxed flying.

If any of that tickles your fancy, be sure to pop along to your newsagent or model shop and pick up the latest issue. Better still, why not save yourself some money over the long run and subscribe
