New models from E-Flite

We saw these models at Nuremburg in February and they’ve been (particularly the P-38) eagerly awaited ever since. For the first time Horizon Hobby UK have included details in a press release so they should be on the shelves soon. The Lightning is particularly impressive and is pre-painted and 95% pre-built. It features detailed panel lines, a cockpit and pilot figure along with pre-hinged control surfaces and fitted control horns. The wing panels are of the plug-in variety and a ‘no glue required’ boast is made!

The model can be flown with a brushed or brushless set-up. The two recommended speed 480’s with gearboxes would probably be ignored in favour of a couple of 890Kv Park 450 outrunners (or equivalent) by most flyers even when the cost of an extra 25 amp ESC is factored into account. In both cases a 3s 2200 mAh Li-Po will provide the power.
