It’s time now to take a quick look at what’s inside the July issue of RCM&E.

This month we start with John Freeman’s build and flying report of the DH.82 Tiger Moth kit from VQ Models. Chris Layton follows with his review of the Astro Junior, a smaller version of the classic Astro Hog as kitted by Dancing Wings.

Danny Fenton (Make It Scale) dedicates his column to a report from the 2026 Indoor Scale Nationals and then it’s over to Alex Dalidis who shows how to build Zig-Zag, a zany 750 mm span asymmetric biplane which covers half of this month’s pull-out Pro-Plan.

Graham McAllister returns with Part 2 of his DH.87B Hornet Moth Pro-Plan feature which started in the June issue before Frank Skilbeck dons his FPV goggles to test out the X1500 twin motor camera ship from XFly-Model.

Keith Jackson (Aerobatic Scene) takes us north of the border to look at some keen pilots competing in F3A aerobatics in Scotland, including 16-year-old Arran Wilson.

Then it’s over to Dave Goodenough (One Man & His Shed) for more tales form his workshed, including a recent whoopsie caused by covering a wing before threading through the servo leads – it happens to us all!
This just leaves the editor to finish things off in his latest RTFM column in which he unboxes an FMS Hawk jet and take a first look at some tough carry cases for transmitters and other valuable items.
