CREAM OF THE CROP

Strengths: Smooth running, easy to start, good fuel economy, build, reliability and the carb which works in all situations. Also a plug is included. Modern, efficient design.

Weaknesses: None, apart from price, but you get what you pay for: Quality.

Overall: The Rolls-Royce of model engines, I have the 35, 46,55, 75 and the 120Ax's.

AX 75 - WHAT AN ENGINE

Strengths: delivers loads of turbine smooth power

Weaknesses: none

Overall: At risk of starting an arguement I think for 2 strokes you can't beat OS. Does make a big dent in the wallet though.

POWERFUL, WELL MANNERED.

Strengths: OS 55 AX really very powerful for an engine this size, will swing quite a large prop if required, usually starts by hand first flick when run-in.

Weaknesses: Expensive. Haven't tested the crash-resistance.

Overall: Needs running-in properly, but once run-it it's a nice little engine.

LIGHT, POWERFULL, RELIABLE

Strengths: very light, very powerful, not to expensive

Weaknesses: body is made of very very thin lightweight metal, smashes to pieces at the slightest crash

Overall: Well worth the money, for performance, reliability and power especially as a 46 size upgrade. Just do not hit the ground hard

AN ABSOLUTE GEM!!

Strengths: Looks superb,never misses a beat with loads of power,sets the standard.

Weaknesses: None.

Overall: Easily the best quality engine in its price range,Fantastic looks and construction,rearward angled main needle an absolute boon.Power box muffler also allows rotation of the outlet.
