Hitec’s keenly awaited 2.4GHz debut has finally arrived with modules for the existing transmitters and this range topping, frequency hopping Aurora 9 which offers notable features including a 5.1” back-lit touch screen for programming – the first consumer radio to do so.
With 30 model memories, assignable switches, customisable programming menus, 3 model types, 9 assignable channels, 8 flight conditions, 9 wings types, 5 tail types and a whole host of mixes and menus, it’s going to give the competition something to think about – oh and it has a data telemetry facility too, the receiver sending real-time information that can be viewed on the transmitter screen.
The pricing is very competitive too, with RRPs of between £399 – £309 depending on receiver size and servo type included. Receiver pricing can be the key to success in the 2.4GHz radio market and again there’s reason for cheer with the 6-channel Rx RRP set at £44.99, the 7-channel £49.99 and the 9-channel unit £64.99.
