Launched at Nuremburg last month and direct from Puffin Models, this new range of receivers has just been released by respected electric flight manufacturer Jeti. These are not the first receivers to come from the Czech firm but they offer a ‘programmable’ facility never before seen.
There are three units in the range offering 4, 6 and 8 channels, all on 35MHz. They operate on an input voltage of between 3.5-8v and weigh 6g, 13g and 17g respectively.
The 8-channel unit is pictured here alongside the Jeti Box which itself may be familiar to some as it has until now, been used by electric flyers to programme the Jeti Spin range of electronic speed controllers. The box can be used to programme the receiver in much the same way as a computer transmitter.

The receivers feature adjustable filtration levels and a wide range of channel mixes, extended channel settings such as mix ratio, center, travel volumes, servo reverse, gain, curves etc. Quick set-up allows for three preset modes – normal, elevon and v-tail. Fail safe settings can be adjusted and all settings are stored in the receiver and can’t be affected by weaker transmission.
Useful readout data can be stored during the last flight including the number of transmission errors, min and max supply voltages and the output values of individual channels.
This 8-channel receiver is ‘full range’ for models weighing up to 3.5kg (7.7lbs). We’ll be taking a closer look and flying this interesting unit in RCM&E magazine very soon.
