September 2008 issue (our biggest ever) preview

At 140 pages, the September 2008 issue is the biggest ever issue of RCM&E so needless to say it’s packed to bursting with reviews of the very latest models and accessories and 2 free plans!

Reviews this month include

  • Cierva C30 – Cyril Carr builds and flies the scale electric autogyro
  • Futaba FF10 – The new mid-range replacement for the FF9
  • Extreme Flight Outlaw – A 3D delta indeed!
  • Saito FG-36 – the new four-stroke petrol engine
  • JR DSX-9 Pt.2 – concluding our in-depth look at JR’s first 2.4GHz set.
  • X-Twin DIY – The new DIY plane from Silverlit
  • E-flite Sea Fury – The classic fighter in miniature

We’ve lots of great features this month. We start a new 5-part beginners series called Into the Blue while Andy Ellison concludes his B-certificate tutorial series. We’ve a great 5-page photo report from the recent Rougham show while our regular columnists look at traditional building techniques, new electric flight products, the new Boddo Mills diesel engine and lot’s more besides.

There are two free plans this month. We have the 2008 Nigel Hawes design called Fling Wing – a super quick-build electric delta that’s a bit different. Alongside this there’s the plan for Dave Royd’s Ballerina indoor (or calm outdoor) 3D bipe. Build articles for both models are in the magazine.
