As may be apparent, we’ve updated our RCM&E magazine website and Model Flying forums. The previous website/forum had reached the end of its life and could no longer be upgraded or kept secure.
The RCM&E website and Model Flying forums are now each on their own dedicated platforms and you can log in and out of each one independently. Here is some useful information for using the new sites.
How to Access Your Old Account
If you previously had an account on our site/forums, your username and password should still be the same on both the new forums and this website.
On the magazine website, look for the link that says “Log In/Join” at the right side of the nav bar near the top of the site. On the forums, you’ll see a link that says “Existing user? Sign In” also at the top right.
How to Create a New Account
On the website, look for the link that says “Log In/Join” at the right side of the nav bar near the top of the site. On the forums, you’ll see a blue link that says “Sign Up” also at the top right. Once you create an account on either the forums or website it will work in both places.
How to Access the Archives
If you are a subscriber, either create a new account or log in to your existing account on the magazine website. Click on the “My Account” link on the nav bar on the right. Click on the “edit” tab and then click the link at the top labelled “Subscriber Details”. Enter your subscriber ID number here and click “Save”.
Now go to the “Subscribe” dropdown in the nav bar and select “Digital Archive”. You will see all of your issues and can click on any you wish to read.
How to Leave Comments on This Site
Either create a new account or log in to your existing account on the magazine website. At the bottom of each story will be a comment box which you can fill out. Hit “Preview” to make sure your comment looks good and then hit “Save” at the bottom.
How to Leave Product Reviews on This Site
Either create a new account or log in to your existing account on the magazine website. Go to the “Reviews” dropdown in the nav and pick the category of product you wish to review. If you don’t see your product in the list, there is an email link to request that it be added. If you do see the product, click on it and then look for the “Add your review” grey box under the ratings. Fill out your review and hit “Save” at the bottom.
Navigating Between Sites
If you are on the main website (where you are reading this) the “Forum” link in the nav bar will take you over to the other site. To get back from the forums, click the “RCM&E Home” link at the left of the nav bar.
